Type 3 Diabetes

We know what the conditions type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes are. The former one occurs when the body produces little or no insulin, which could make sugar enter cells to produce energy, and the latter is when the body develops a resistance to the effects of insulin, or the body does not produce it at all. Symptoms which are common to both these conditions include increased thirst, increased hunger, frequent urination, unintended weight loss, fatigue, and blurred vision. Now these conditions have their own set of specific causes, symptoms and treatments. However, the condition which we are having a discussion on, i.e., type 3 diabetes, is an undefined term which, as I have mentioned, is a debatable topic. Sometimes, this condition is also known as ‘hybrid diabetes’ or ‘double diabetes’. It is something that scientists have come up with recently. Also, scientists discovered that the hormone insulin, is not only produced in the pancreas, but in the brain also. And this is the reason why the condition is also referred to as ‘brain diabetes’.

What is Type 3 Diabetes?

Double Diabetes
As mentioned before, type 3 diabetes may refer to ‘double diabetes’ or to what is known as ‘brain diabetes’. Now if we consider the first part, it would signify that the sufferer may be experiencing the symptoms of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes thus, the name ‘hybrid’. For example, a person who already has type 1 diabetes, gains weights and goes on to develop the type 2 one. So what happens is, as the type 2 condition is insulin resistant, so the insulin which is administered to treat the type 1 diabetes, becomes ineffective.

Alzheimer’s Type 3 Diabetes
Now when type 2 diabetes is used to refer to the condition of ‘brain diabetes’, it stresses importance on the study of the brain producing insulin, apart from the pancreas. In order to keep the brain cells alive and functioning, the brain produces insulin. However, if this process ceases, then the cells begin to deteriorate. With the brain cells dead, even the brain receptors stop functioning. This is the reason why scientists have also coined the term ‘Alzheimer’s type 3 diabetes’. However, this theory is not fully proved, but those who tout it, claim that diabetics are more vulnerable to develop Alzheimer’s disease.

Unstable Blood Sugar
Besides all these, there is another condition which is attributed as unstable blood sugar level, that is related to type 3 diabetes. Very few people are aware of what is known as electropollution. This is nothing but the emission of electromagnetic energy by devices which are run on electricity. Now according to proponents of this theory, this pollution causes the blood sugar levels to rise, eventually leading to type 3 diabetes. This condition may affect people who are already diabetic and even those who are not. Read more…

A Good Diabetic Meal Plan Can Help Fight Diabetes

It is unquestionable that a person having blood sugar problems (high blood sugar or low blood sugar) depends on several factors. To beat a destructive thing, it is essential to draft a constructive plan. Thinking in this angle, it is reiterated that a good diabetic meal plan can convincingly work well to beat diabetes. Such a plan designed by a professional dietitian is highly recommended. Lifestyle is another thing which finds a significant place in any diabetic meal plan. It is important that the meal plan for diabetes should not be prepared on a run through discussion. Drafting such a plan needs a thorough diagnosis of the body’s condition. It is the main concern of the physician to appraise the percentage of the damage caused to the body with diabetes.

Plan of diabetes foods

When we get into the discussion of a diabetic food list, there are many things to consider and understand well. But many people have a short notion about a meal plan to beat diabetes. Some people prone to diabetes claim in a short sense that they are strictly following diabetic meal plan. They are having a false confidence of overcoming hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia just with restricted foods. There are many things to take into positive consideration. Since a meal plan is broader in sense, a diabetic should avail the guidance properly to fight diabetes.

Plus points of a quality meal plan:

• It is positively self guiding. There are the descriptions of what causes diabetes and what are the various symptoms of diabetes.

• A diabetic meal plan is benefitting not only people who have diabetes but also those who have not been affected with diabetes. It is claimed so because the plan includes an additional focus on cautionary prevention of diabetes at any stage.

• A good meal plan is not with a bare list of foods to eat for diabetics. A parallel list of foods to avoid for diabetics also finds place in the content of the plan. In addition to these two lists of foods, various food habits will also be discussed in detail. Read more…
